So here we come to gather again - it's amazing to see how far we all have come in our lives since our last community blog spot. I think about it and wonder often how each of you have been.
There's been so much go on for myself and my family. This is an old picture now but it's funny to me that Jimmy managed to get in WEARING his hat! Just briefly to summarize everything:
1. Jimmy and I are coming up on our first year of marriage tomorrow and finally we're happy again now that the "newness" has worn off for Jimmy and he knows now that the world is not going to end. LOL
2. On 1/22 we will begin the custody battle for Jillian since she'll have been with us for 6 months giving us the upper hand in jurisdiction. Please wish me the strength to not go to Hobbs and put the mother in a box - permanently.
3. Allison is smart as a whip, she's 3 and already starting to read, spell and write 3 letter words. Her hair is down to her bum and she's so beautiful it amazing me. She's finally got the spark back in her eye these last few days after battling with her thyroid medication roller coaster. She's been experiencing recurrent sickness and we've discovered she can not fight off her on infections. Becoming dependant on a constant stream of drugs is my last wish for this child. If it's not one of us, it's all of us. It's really got me thinking more and more about vaccinations and what's truly in them, processed foods, the benefit of living green. I'm liking more and more the idea of being a tree hugger and living off the land.
4. My health. My next screening come up again in a month or so. Going to MD Anderson was the best thing I could have done to really get answers and get on a prevention plan just in case anything more shows up. This is another reason I'm getting the "green" bug. I did manage to lose a bit of weight but then I gain it back by falling into old "easy" habits. I'm now feeling the toll of what I've done to myself throughout the years. I don't think it's fear that's driving me for myself but rather seeing what "easy" cooking will do to my kids.
5. I have two new additions to the family. First is Chewey, a short haired Jack Russell that has a striking resemblance to Lady. I didn't like him much at first but he's starting to grow on me. He even has Lady like tendencies which make my heart melt. Secondly and the one I'm really excited over is the KIRBY vacuum cleaner... Yeah, I know giggle it up but until you have one - you won't understand the quality of this unit. I have never in my life been so impressed by an appliance.
Alright, well that about does it, brings me down to today. I made reservations for the lake for our anniversary, with the kids. Horseback riding, archery, heating swimming... the whole nine yards, taking full advantage of this resort type lifestyle I was so suckered into last year. I hope it's at least half as good as they claim it is. Even if it's totally lame - my family well be together for 2 whole days without the interruption of work and other family~LOL~.
Hope all is well for everyone. Until we write again....

Wow... so much has happened! I can't believe it has been a year since you got married... time flies when you're having babies! ;) That's about the same time Yahoo 360 shut its doors on us. Glad to read a real update on what's going on... Facebook is nice for quick updates but I always enjoyed the blogs for a little more depth and detail. Good luck with the custody battle... they are no fun at all, and I know Jillian really needs you guys.
ReplyDeleteI want to see updated pictures of Allison. How is it even possible that she is 3? THAT makes me feel like my time in Indiana is flying by faster than I thought (by the way, I don't know if you heard from anyone, but Jeremy and his wife just had a new baby on January 2! His name is James Mitchell, and he has a crazy head full of hair like my dad did. I hope to meet him next month.)
Yay for new pups! Did you see pics on FB of Kellie's new puppy Izzy? She is freaking adorable! :)
Glad to see you on here!!!
